| After trolling all morning to no avail, we decided to stop and bottom fish for a little action. This little girl on board dropped her line first. Moments later I saw her rod double over and nearly drag her into the water. I loosened her drag to let her find her feet. The loose drag resulted in the fish entangling in the propellers. I had to jump over board (why I'm wet in the photo) and disentagle the line from the wheels. SUCCESS! I was now able to tighten the drag some, and the little girl was able to land a fish nearly as big as she. Needless to say she was all smiles the rest of the day. I love when little girls catch BIG fish. |
